Hello! My name is Dr. Connie Valentini. I am a Clinical Psychologist working as therapist for over 25 years. I specialize in the treatment of anxiety and panic disorder, depression, sexual abuse trauma, traumatic grief, post-traumatic stress disorder, recovery from narcissistic abuse, and addictions and substance abuse recovery. My focus is helping each individual to understand how their life experiences and neurobiological processes impact their current reactions, symptoms, and behaviors. I begin from a compassionate and positive mindset that people can and do change, and that psychological disorders are not an identity. The brain is characterized by neuroplasticity throughout our lifetimes, meaning that we are always able to learn, adapt, and grow new internal response patterns and skills. My clients appreciate that I am coming from a clinical, research-driven perspective that prioritizes positive results. I have pursued specialized training in Rapid Resolution Therapy, which is a holistic method of memory reconsolidation used in treating a variety of anxiety issues, trauma, and dysfunctional beliefs.
